Adjustable color temperature is important because it helps keep your internal rhythm in sync with the sun and the day. The color temperature of sunlight changes throughout the day. In the morning, when the sun rises, the light's color temperature is warmer than at midday when the light is cooler.
Cool light counteracts the formation of melatonin in the brain, which is the natural substance that makes us sleepy. Therefore, it is beneficial to switch to warm lighting in the evening and allow the body to experience a natural transition from day to night. MultiWhite® makes it possible to mimic the sun's rhythm so you can choose the temperature that suits you.

HOW LIGHT AFFECTS OUR BODY
There is a significant difference in which Kelvin we desire the light to have in our spaces, which is the basis for MultiWhite® technology. MultiWhite® makes it possible to change the Kelvin of the light source. In the bathroom in the morning, it is advantageous for the light to have a whiter tone of around 4000-6000 Kelvin. This is primarily because very white light with a high Kelvin value prevents your brain from producing melatonin, which is a natural hormone that makes you sleepy.
A lower Kelvin value around 2200 Kelvin is therefore perfect light in the evening when your brain should ideally produce melatonin. Studies show that the body naturally responds to the warm color temperature by relaxing and preparing for the night, as the warm light reminds our ancient bodies of a sunset.
