OUR LED-WORLD
What is LED Lighting?
Today, LED lighting is the preferred choice for residential use, a trend that began in the mid-2010s. This preference is due to LED's improved quality, energy efficiency, long lifespan, and versatility.
LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. LED bulbs consist of multiple small diodes, which allow electricity to flow in one direction and emit light. Their compact size enables integration in areas previously impossible to light.
Drawer Lighting
Due to the small size of the LED, Loevschall has for example been able to develop a drawer light that can be placed in even the smallest drawers, as the drawer light itself is no higher than 6 mm. This would not have been possible without the development of diodes.
Benefits of LED
Compared to the old incandescent bulbs, diodes contain neither mercury, glass nor gases under pressure, and they are therefore also a more durable and robust solution against external influences. In the past, we also saw problems with the incandescent and halogen bulbs overheating, which was, among other things, a big and energy-consuming problem in stores, which often had to let their lights cool down for longer periods in order to get rid of the heat. This problem is not experienced with LED bulbs. Combined with the small, compact size, LED has become an attractive solution for lamps and lights.
Integrated Lenses
LED lamps often have built-in lenses that refract the light, so that it becomes possible to concentrate the light beam in one direction. If you put 10-20 LED diodes together, you will get a powerful light beam, which is why most LED lamps have integrated fixtures. These often consist of a matte material that helps spread the light beam from the LEDs out so that the light is better distributed.
Quality LED Lighting
Although the LED technology is smart and solves many of the problems we saw with the incandescent or halogen bulbs, an LED bulb does not in itself equal a good light. There is a large selection of different LEDs in varying quality. You can buy an LED bulb that emits a bad light - in the same way that you can get hold of an LED bulb that emits really good light. Loevschall are specialists in LED light, and with a Loevschall light source, you are guaranteed high LED quality.
